Brianna Turner is the current Student Representative for ISSS. She is a graduate student in Clinical Psychology, currently completing her PhD at Simon Fraser University under the supervision of Dr. Alexander Chapman. Her research focuses on NSSI, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and emotional sensitivity and reactivity. Specifically, Ms. Turner is interested in factors that protect against NSSI, in the impact of social context on NSSI and in trajectories of NSSI over time. Ms. Turner has received grants and scholarships from the Canadian Institute for Health Research and the Michael Smith Foundation of Health Research to support her research in these areas.
